It's day 3 of the Arkanjelo Kot murder trial in which Kot is accused of shooting and killing Walid Omar Aden.
Officers and investigators with the Grand Island Police Department had their turn in court today. Each of them was asked to recount events and evidence from that night they were called to the scene in July 2010.
On Wednesday, jurors heard about and saw evidence collected from that night. The prosecution spent the morning calling witnesses from the Grand Island Police Department. The evidence officer recounted tests and processing of the van, where the shooting took place. The defense argued that necessary, additional tests were not carried out. If officials had, the defense stated, that could have provided information on the possible presence of other weapons in the van at the time of the shooting.
The court proceedings continue at 9am tomorrow morning at the Hall County Courthouse.
