Authorities say a dozen people have been arrested in a Panhandle drug bust.

Kimball residents and two from Potter are being held on a variety of charges, including distribution of cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana and prescription drugs.

The Nebraska State Patrol says the undercover operation took about eight months and culminated with the arrests early Thursday morning.

The investigation included officers from the patrol, the Kimball and Cheyenne County sheriffs' offices and the Kimball Police Department.
