A 57-year-old woman has died after her vehicle was struck by two others as she was turning off a highway in northeast Nebraska.

Authorities say Patricia Oldenburg, of Homer, was turning off U.S. Highway 75/77 south of Dakota City on Sunday afternoon when her vehicle was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Heather Reisdorph, of Sioux City, Iowa.

Authorities say the impact pushed Oldenburg's vehicle into oncoming traffic, and it was struck by another vehicle.

Authorities say Oldenburg died later Sunday at a hospital. An 8-year-old child and a 3-year-old child secured in the back seat of her car were hospitalized.

The accident is being investigated.
