Experts will discuss how climate change will affect the Great Plains in the years ahead at a town hall forum in Lincoln on Monday.

Leaders from business and government will have the chance to talk with climate change experts about ways the Great plans might be affected.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln's school of natural resources will host the event at Hardin Hall on East Campus starting at 8: 45 a.m.

Participants will also learn about the National Climate Assessment report, which is expected to be released later this year. It's an update of a 2009 report.

The UNL town hall is the only one planned on the Great Plains.
