Grass fires have blackened dozens of acres in southeast Nebraska's Gage County.

Gage County emergency management coordinator Mark Meints says one fire east of Wymore on Sunday covered about 60 acres. Another fire charred some land on the east side of Blue Springs.

No injuries were reported, but one Wymore firefighter was taken to Beatrice Community Hospital for treatment of heat exhaustion.
