A former North Platte firefighter has pleaded guilty in a drug case.
Authorities say 33-year-old Aaron Vieyra had made a deal with prosecutors, who lowered the charges to attempted sale of cocaine. He'd been scheduled to begin a nonjury trial last week.
Police say Vieyra sold the drug to police informants in February and March last year.
Vieyra's sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 3.
