The City of Grand Island has issued a snow emergency starting at noon on Wednesday.

"No vehicles may be parked on the City's snow emergency routes. The routes can be identified by the red, white and blue snow emergency signs posted every few blocks on these streets," a statement released Tuesday said.

Parked or abandoned vehicles on snow routes could be towed.

The snow emergency is set to expire at noon on Friday.
