A House committee will vote next week on a Russia trade bill, giving momentum to a measure seen as crucial to expanding U.S. exports in a growing market.

The chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, Republican Rep. Dave Camp, says he's reached agreement with Democratic lawmakers on the bill, which removes Cold War restrictions and grants permanent normal trade relations to Russia.

The Michigan Republican also says he has an agreement to merge the bill with a measure imposing penalties on Russian government officials determined to be involved in human rights violations.

Camp's announcement comes a day after the Senate Finance Committee unanimously approved its version of the trade and human rights bills.
