From the City of Kearney:
The Union Pacific Railroad announces that due to an emergency situation at another location, the Central Avenue Railroad crossing will be not be closed Friday, January 18, 2013.
At this time, Union Pacific Railroad intends to work at the Central Avenue crossing on Tuesday, January 22 at 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
The purpose of the closure is for repair and maintenance to the railroad tracks near the crossings.
