LPD: Couple's Argument Ends in Pitbull Attack

Lincoln Police say a couple's early morning argument ended with both being wounded by their pitbull dog.

According to Officer Katie Flood, at 4:20 a.m. Friday, police were called to an apartment at 1841 Garfield Street on a dog bite.

Police reports said that 37-year-old Brandy Wichman got into an argument about money with her 28-year-old live-in boyfriend, Ilya Sidorov. During the argument, Wichman accidentally stepped on their black lab, causing the lab to yelp. She was then attacked by their 8-month-old male pitbull.

Flood said, when Sidorov jumped in to help Wichman, he was also attacked by the pitbull.

During the pitbull attack, Wichman sustained abrasions and puncture wounds to her forearm, hands and head. Sidorov sustained lacerations to his elbow.

Flood said both were transported to an unknown hospital and Animal Control took the pitbull. The dogs were up-to-date on their shots but they weren’t registered.
