A crash just south of Interstate 80 slowed traffic on Highway 281 Sunday afternoon.
According to the Hall County Sheriff's Department, a Connecticut man was attempting to make a u-turn from an outside lane when he hit a car driven by a Hastings woman in the inside lane.
A deputy on the scene said she and her 9-year-old passenger were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The deputy said 60-year-old Michael Bukshtub had a cut to his head and was treated on scene. He was cited for improper turn.
