Several volunteer fire departments responded to a large brush fire in Saunders County.
Multiple fields have burned primarily near the town of Colon, another near Fremont and officials say the largest is just southeast of Mead.
The fire near Mead jumped two county roads and threatened to close parts of Highway 92 earlier Thursday afternoon, according to officials on the scene.
