A Lincoln man accused of a leading police on a chase while driving drunk is going to prison.
46-year-old Douglas Miller was sentenced to 4-to-6 years in prison on Tuesday. He pleaded no contest to driving under suspension, fourth-offense DUI and operating a vehicle to avoid arrest.
Police say an officer tried to stop Miller after recognizing him behind the wheel last July. The officer knew Miller he had a suspended license, but Miller kept driving.
The chase was stopped because of safety concerns. Soon after, Miller crashed into a light pole.
