Nebraska Attorney General Jon Bruning says he will not run for governor in 2014.

Bruning said at the Capitol on Thursday that he has been approached to run for the post, but he enjoys his job as attorney general and finds his work rewarding.

Bruning says it's too early to announce whether he will run for re-election as attorney general. He plans to discuss those plans at a later date.

Bruning says he could probably not see himself running for another political post. Bruning ran for U.S. Senate and lost to then-state Sen. Deb Fischer in the Republican primary.
