A Virginia Tech agricultural economist and consultant is scheduled to be the featured speaker at the Ag Management Expo of Southeast Nebraska.

The free expo is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 17 inside the Truman Center on Southeast Community College's Beatrice campus.

The speaker, Dr. David Kohl, is professor emeritus in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va. He's president of a consulting business, he's a business coach and is part owner of a dairy business.

Nebraska state climatologist Al Dutcher also is scheduled to speak at the expo and discuss the weather outlook for 2013.
