Legislative hearings that were postponed for an expected Nebraska snowstorm are now scheduled for March 5.

Speaker of the Legislature Greg Adams announced Thursday that lawmakers will convene those hearings on the morning of March 5.

The full Legislature will convene at 9 a.m., and then proceed straight to the hearings that were missed.

Adams sought to postpone the hearings so lawmakers and hearing testifiers could avoid the storm.

The announcement affects five committees: Government, Military and Veterans Affairs; Health and Human Services; Judiciary; Natural Resources; and Revenue.

Lawmakers still plan to meet at 10 a.m. on Friday. For now, all Friday hearings will proceed as scheduled.
