Authorities in Nebraska say nearly 30 pounds of marijuana covered in birthday wrapping paper was seized during a traffic stop over the weekend.

The Nebraska State Patrol says a trooper stopped a Toyota Camry Saturday afternoon on Interstate 80 near the Greenwood exit. A patrol canine detected the odor of drugs and a search led to the marijuana discovery in the truck.

The marijuana was in 13 individual packages inside a box covered in birthday wrapping paper.

Patrol officials say a man from West Sacramento, Calif., was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
