Authorities say a convicted Nebraska sex offender has been given 12 to 18 months in prison because he failed to report that he'd moved.

A news release from the office of Saunders County Attorney Scott Tingelhoff says 51-year-old Steven Anderson was sentenced on Monday.

Tingelhoff's office says Anderson, of Ashland, violated laws requiring sex offenders to report to the state any changes of address.

Anderson initially was convicted in December 2008 of sexual assault of a child in Lancaster County.
