Nebraska State Park to Hold Homemaking, Farmers' Market

Ponca State Park in the northeast corner of Nebraska is holding a Homemade Living Weekend, focusing on traditional skills found at small family farms.

The event, happening Saturday and Sunday, will have demonstrations in canning and preserving, beekeeping, organic and heirloom gardening, quilting, making homestyle foods and flour milling.

Horse-drawn wagon rides and pioneer games also will be available.

A park entry permit is required. More information can be found by calling the park at 402-755-2284.
