The Nebraska State Patrol is focusing renewed attention on a 13-year-old unsolved murder in northeast Nebraska.

A patrol news release this week says the body of 54-year-old Jeanne Kassebaum was discovered by family members in the bathtub of her West Point home on Aug. 21, 1999.

Initially, her death was ruled an accident, until an autopsy determined she had been strangled.

Nebraska State Patrol Investigator Melanie Lueders says the patrol believes there are "still people out there who know more about what happened the night she died."

Kassebaums' picture and information about her death are featured in a 2010 deck of playing cards designed to help crack cold cases in Nebraska. A full deck of the cards can be viewed on the Nebraska State Patrol website (http://1.usa.gov/Qzya7l).
