The Nebraska Department of Revenue is reporting $228 million in October net tax receipts, an amount roughly in line with the state's certified forecast.

The amount collected was less than 1 percent below the earlier projection of $229 million. The department said Friday in a news release that net sales-and-use taxes were nearly 5 percent below projections, while net miscellaneous tax receipts were nearly 57 percent below the forecast.

Net receipts from individual income taxes were more than 5 percent above projections, while net corporate income tax receipts were nearly 70 percent above the state forecast.

The state issued $45 million in tax refunds in October.
