A western Nebraska woman says she's distraught that someone stole pumpkins she was growing for local preschool students.

Jo Gress of Alliance says someone raided her pumpkin patch about two weeks ago.

She says she was growing most of the pumpkins for a local pre-school, which has her particularly upset.

Gress says she hopes the public will donate up to 60 basketball-sized pumpkins to the school. She says extra pumpkins will likely go to other pre-schools.
