An Omaha man who robbed a gas station a short distance away from Lincoln's police station and court house will be going to prison.
A Lancaster County judge recently sentenced 44-year-old Stanley Robinson to five to ten years in prison for the March 6 crime.
Robinson pleaded no contest to a charge of attempted robbery. Robinson was arrested near his Omaha home about a week after the robbery.
Lincoln police say Robinson entered the U-Stop gas station just before midnight and demanded two cartons of cigarettes.
He threatened to shoot the clerk but didn't show a gun. The clerk wasn't harmed.
