An eastern Nebraska man who led a state trooper on a dangerous high-speed chase through Dodge and Saunders counties has been sentenced to up to five years in prison.
28-year-old Steven Thomas, of Arlington, was sentenced on Monday for flight to avoid arrest and driving under the influence.
His driver's license was revoked for 2 years.
Thomas was arrested in October.
The chase started in Dodge County.
Thomas drove through the playground of a school and took out a fence in Fremont before heading into Saunders County.
The chase topped 100 mph before Thomas had car problems and stopped on a county road.
