A Missouri man suspected of killing a Nebraska woman more than two decades ago has been moved to the Valley County jail in Ord.

John Oldson, of Randolph, Mo., was arrested in January. He's charged with first-degree murder in the death of Catherine Beard, a
31-year-old waitress who disappeared in 1989. Her remains were
found outside Ord in 1992.

Sheriff Casey Hulburt says Oldson was brought to the Valley County jail last week. He had been held in the Hall County jail since he was
extradited to Nebraska.

Hulburt says he always intended to bring Oldson to Valley County after added security measures were completed at the jail.

Oldson's preliminary hearing in Valley County Court is set for
Monday.
