A convicted Nebraska sex offender has been arrested again, accused of sexually assaulting a child starting when she was 7.

Authorities say 69-year-old Donald Warfield, of North Platte, was arrested on Monday.

Police say a 15-year-old told investigators that inappropriate touching began when she was 7 and continued for three or four years.

In 2002 Warfield was convicted of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old.

Court records say Warfield was arrested earlier this year for failing to properly register as a sex offender.

He later pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count and was sentenced to 30 days in jail.

Lincoln County jail records say Warfield remained in custody on Thursday, pending $250,000 bail. His attorney didn't immediately return a call from The Associated Press
