An 83-year-old Lincoln woman died 11 days after she was injured with her husband in a traffic accident.
Police say Helen Witters was taken to BryanLGH Medical Center West on Jan. 6. She was riding with her husband, 87-year-old Lee Witters, who was driving when their car crashed into a tree at Pioneers Park.
A police report says Lee Witters awoke when the car hit the tree. He was wearing a seat belt; she was not.
The accident is still being investigated. No citations have been issued.
Her obituary says she died on Monday.
