A southeast Nebraska woman charged with perjury and other violations has been sentenced for drunken driving in a separate case.

A report states 27-year-old Jennifer Valenta, of Wilber, was sentenced Thursday to seven days in jail.

Authorities say Valenta was drunk in late March when her vehicle crashed off U.S. Highway 77 in Gage County. She was severely
injured.

The perjury and other charges stem from Valenta's report of being raped last November at Big Indian Recreation Area. Prosecutors say she lied.

Valenta has pleaded not guilty to the allegations. She's scheduled to be in court May 2 on that case.
