Nebraskan Dies In Hunting Accident

ST. PAUL, Neb. (AP) -- A 50-year-old man has died in a hunting accident in east-central Nebraska.

The Howard County Sheriff's Office says Donald "Don" Vanis, of St. Paul, died Saturday at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.

The sheriff's office says the accident occurred at 12:10 p.m. Saturday.

A dispatcher said Monday that other details about the accident have not been released, pending further investigation.
