Suzanne Reimers, currently the principal at Beattie Elementary School, has been named the new principal at Maxey Elementary School. She will begin in the 2011-12 school year.

Reimers began her career with Lincoln Public Schools in 1995 teaching at Maxey, and then served in several additional positions at Maxey including assistant principal and coordinator. She was also a special education instructor and team leader in Roswell, Georgia.

She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Current Maxey Principal Pat Decker has announced his retirement.
