North Platte Kids Get Free Haircuts for School

With various charities offering those in need everything from free backpacks to school supplies, two North Platte hair-cutting salons decided they wanted to get in on the act.

Two local salons, Trends and a A Cut Above, recently offered free haircuts for children at the Episcopal Church of Our Savior in North Platte.

The haircuts were available to any school aged student.

Reina Burk with A Cut Above says the salons wanted to do their part to help local parents with the rising back-to-school costs.
