More than a year later, Omaha police have arrested a suspect in a fatal 2011 shooting.
Police said Monday that 22-year-old Laron Jones had been arrested in connection with the Nov. 16, 2011 shooting. Prosecutors secured a warrant for his arrest in December.
In that afternoon shooting, Damian Cleghorn and Rashawn Higgins were both wounded and hospitalized.
Cleghorn died at an Omaha hospital in August 2012 at age 35.
Jones is facing charges of second-degree murder, attempted murder and several gun charges.
