Omaha Police Investigate Two Deadly Shootings

Omaha police are investigating two separate shootings less than two hours apart in north Omaha that left two men dead.

Police say the first shooting occurred around 2:30 p.m. Friday. Officers called to the area found 37-year-old James Moss Jr. dead at the scene.

Around 3:45 p.m. Friday, officers again responded to reports a shooting about 13 blocks from the previous shooting. Police found 15-year-old Tyler Hickerson with a gunshot wound. The teen was taken by ambulance to an Omaha hospital, where he died.

Police say no arrests have been made in either case. Investigators are asking anyone with information about either shooting to contact police at 402-444-5652 or provide anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers at 402-444-7867 or
