An Omaha zoo is engaging the public through social media to help name five African lion cubs.

Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium will launch a naming contest Friday for the facility's cubs. The contest will be held through the zoo's Facebook page.

The cubs' animal keepers will select the top 20 name submissions submitted by site visitors. Those names will then be posted for voting.

The five winners will be announced March 29. Prizes for the winners include an annual membership or renewal, a special lion-themed gift basket and a cat training demonstration.

The cubs are two males and three females. They were born at the end of December.
