Digging out from the first major snow storm of the season was no small feet, and for some people that meant staying put until the job was done.

Tim Reimers spent much of the day digging out of the snow with his snow blower.

"It's thick the first snow is always the funnest, after this it's kind of like work!" said G.I. Resident Tim Reimers.

Reimers says the storm dumped wet snow which made it tough for people like Mathew Depaulis who are using a shovel.

"It's pretty heavy, some snow I have to pick up with my hands so I can throw it out of my way then keep going," said G.I. Resident Mathew Depaulis.

Semi truck drivers were stuck for nearly 24 hours in Grand Island waiting for I-80 to reopen.

"I'm just making sure I don't have any mishaps along the way so i'm being patient," said Semi Truck Driver Wade Wittmer.
