Omaha police seized 420 marijuana plants and eight pounds of dried marijuana when they busted a growing operation inside three homes on the city's northwest side.
Prosecutors say 32-year-old Larry Christiansen and his 43-year-old wife Michelle Christiansen were both arrested and charged with trying to grow and sell the marijuana.
Police monitored the three homes involved in the scheme for months after receiving an anonymous tip and learning that two of the homes had unusually high electric bills.
Police also seized several vehicles, six assault rifles and $146,000 cash.
Larry Christiansen was being held in lieu of $750,000 bail. His wife was released from jail after posting $2,500 bond.
Attorneys for the couple declined to comment to the Omaha World-Herald.
