A Lincoln man is behind bars after trying to run over his girlfriend and run from officers, police say.
Just after midnight, Wednesday, officers were called to a domestic disturbance in southeast Lincoln, where 37-year-old Keefe Turner had attempted to run over a woman.
Turner was at the woman's home to pick up belongings and he broke out the windows of his ex-girlfriend's and her roommate's car.
Police say the woman grabbed an African artifact spear and flattened Turner's tire before he tried to run her over.
She avoided his car but suffered burns to her hands, police say.
Police soon located Turner at 12th and O Streets.
He then led police on a brief pursuit, but officers called off the chase due to safety concerns.
Police say Turner was eventually located at Northwest 18th and West O Streets, where he resisted arrest, was tasered and taken into custody.
Turner is facing charges of making terroristic threats, second degree assault, use of a weapon to commit a felony, fleeing to avoid arrest and wreck less driving.
