Traffic stops along Interstate 80 in Nebraska led to the seizure of nearly 19 pounds of marijuana and the arrests of two drivers.

The Nebraska State Patrol says a car was pulled over around 2:30 a.m. Sunday in Lincoln for following too closely.

A State Patrol dog taken to the scene indicated there were drugs in the vehicle's rear.

Troopers say they found 8 pounds of marijuana in a locked tote in the trunk.

On Sunday afternoon another trooper stopped a car for speeding near Aurora in eastern Nebraska.

A State Patrol dog indicated there were drugs in the car.

Troopers say they found 10.6 pounds of pot in two locked foot lockers in the car trunk.

The drivers were arrested on suspicion of possession for sale.
