Members of the public are invited to sign the last steel beam that will be hoisted into Lincoln's Pinnacle Bank Arena.
The West Haymarket Joint Public Agency will host two signing events next week to celebrate the project.
The beam will be available on Dec. 6 at the Bob Davaney Sports Center, before and during halftime of the Nebraska basketball game against Creighton. A game ticket is required for access.
The beam will also be presented on Dec. 7 at Iron Horse Park in the Haymarket district. The signing will run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., to coincide with the First Friday Art Walk.
The arena will house the University of Nebraska-Lincoln basketball program. It's on schedule to be completed in fall 2013.
