A registered sex offender has been accused of molesting a 7-year-old girl that he'd lured into his Omaha apartment.

Authorities say 50-year-old Harold Shipley faces charges of sex assault, child enticement and false imprisonment. A Douglas County jailer said Shipley remained in custody on Thursday.

Police say Shipley enticed three neighbor children into his apartment on the east side of Omaha on Tuesday night and groped the little girl.

Shipley is listed on the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry. He was convicted in 1998 of sexually assaulting a child and was released from prison in 2000.
