Two York county residents to appear in York County Court after a SWAT team discovered bomb making materials, guns, and drugs at a farmhouse south of Henderson.

According to the York County Sheriff's office, the department obtained a search warrant when they received information that illegal activity was taking place in a rental house at 120 Road 2. The SWAT team searched the home, discovered the materials and arrested the couple January 24th.

Melvin and Jennifer Lear face preliminary hearings in February and March.

Melvin Lear is being held at the county jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of materials for making explosives.

The Lears were also charged with child abuse because 3 children were in the home.
The sheriff's office said the children were immediatly taken into protective custody by Nebraska Health and Human Services.
