Authorities have resumed their search of a missing 61-year-old North Platte man.

Officials say Larry Sack, of North Platte, was reported missing when he failed to show up at a family gathering. His pickup and fishing gear was found on Tuesday near a canal.

Dive teams have searched the canal all week, and authorities brought in search dogs as well as a plane from the Nebraska State Patrol. The search of the canal and Sutherland Reservoir continued Saturday.

The initial investigation led authorities to believe Sack fell into the canal while fishing. Authorities say he has diabetes and hadn't been feeling well prior to his disappearance.
