Sex Offender Sentenced to Federal Prison

An Omaha man was sentenced to federal prison on a charge of possessing child pornography.

Noah L. Brouillette, 39, was sentenced to a ten year term of imprisonment.

According to the Department of Justice, Brouillette was convicted in Utah for Sexual Exploitation of a Minor in the Second Degree. His conviction required him to register as a sex offender. When he moved to Nebraska, he registered his Omaha address with the Sex Offender Registry as required.

On September 30, 2010, the Nebraska State Patrol conducted a sex offender compliance check. When speaking with Brouillette, an investigator noticed a laptop computer and asked whether Brouillette had used it to download child pornography. Brouillette admitted that he had viewed child pornography and consented to a search of his computer.

Forensic analysis revealed eighteen videos of child pornography to include videos of prepubescent children as young as toddlers and scenes of sadomasochism and pain.

After his release from prison, Brouillette will serve a five year term of supervised release.
