You may have been told not to play in the streets when you were little, but that's exactly what organizers wanted participants to do Sunday.
It was the second annual "Streets Alive" health and wellness festival.
Lincoln Mayor Chris Beutler kicked off the event for people to walk, run, bike, or skate along a 3.3 mile route stretching from Trago Park to Woods Park.
Preventing obesity and promoting a healthy lifestyle were some of the focuses of the day.
"Streets Alive" also featured live entertainment, more than 60 exhibitors, and several fitness activities.
