A Columbus man accused of sexually abusing three of his grandchildren is scheduled to stand for two trials this fall.

The 51-year-old is set to stand trial on September 26 and October 4 in Platte County District Court.

The man faces three counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child and one count of third-degree sexual assault of a child. He was arrested on January 19 for the alleged molestation of a boy and two girls, now aged 14, 7 and 8 respectively.

The children have been placed in foster care.

The man's name has been withheld to protect each alleged victim's identity.
