According to Seward County officials, a two-car accident has occurred on Highway 34 between Lincoln and Seward.

A northbound 2001 Volkswagen Passat GLX driven by a 17-year-old Valparaiso, Nebraska woman struck an eastbound 2004 Dodge Durango driven by 57-year-old Leslie Zima of Waco, Nebraska when she failed to stop at the stop sign at 154th Street and US Highway 34.

Two female passengers along with the 17-year-old female and Zima were transported by Seward and Garland Fire and Rescue personnel to Seward Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and eventually released. Due to the complexity of the injuries sustained to the 17-year-old female, she was transported to BryanLGH West in Lincoln.

All four individuals involved in the accident were wearing seatbelts and alcohol is not a factor in the accident.
