Two Minnesota residents are jailed in Grand Island, after a Trooper seizes 6.0 lbs of methamphetamine from their pickup truck.
Just after 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 13, a Trooper made contact with a 2004 red, Nissan pickup with Minnesota plates after the vehicle turned onto a dead-end road near the city of Grand Island well field.
The Trooper was given consent to search the vehicle. The search led to the seizure of 6.0 lbs of methamphetamine. The meth was located in a false compartment in the tailgate of the pickup. The meth has an estimated street value of $300,000.
The driver of the pickup, Jeanna R. Springer, 24, Keewatin, MN and a passenger Jaymond J. Taylor, 35, Aurora, MN were taken into custody and lodged in the Hall County Jail each on a charge of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.
