A new study shows sitting is dangerous for your health.

The study, recently published in the journal BMJ Open says a sedentary life style can take years off you life.

According to the study, the average American spends 55% of their day sitting. That's more than 12 hours a day. And a person's life expectancy gained 2 years for reducing sit time to less than 3 hours a day.
