The goal to promote community awareness and highlight the woman's heart clinic's efforts toward diagnosis and prevention.
Cardiologist Rebecca Rundlett wants women to put their health first.
"We wanted to do something for the community that they could participate in and to remind women how important it is to take care of there own selves first and to walk because walking is such good exercise for women," said Dr. Rebecca Rundlett.
The walk is Saturday, May 12th from 10am to 1pm at the Nebraska Heart Institute.
It's a 3 mile walk along the bike path that leads up to the Heart Hospital.
