Nebraska officials are seeking two members of the public and one skin-care specialist for a seat on the state board that oversees cosmetology, nail technology, body art and esthetics.

The board is responsible for granting license privileges and overseeing other aspects of each profession.

The Nebraska State Health Board requires that the industry professional be actively engaged in the practice of esthetics. Two members of the public will be appointed to represent consumers, if they are not licensed in the particular area that the board serves.

Applications for the positions are due Sept. 12. Interviews will be conducted on Sept. 16 in Holdrege and Nov. 19 in Lincoln.
